Creative Summary
Humans gaze at the stars, and the vast unknown fills them with awe. When people realize the insurmountable distance that separates them from the universe, it inevitably sparks endless fantasies. Music, as a form of emotional expression rooted in sensibility and imagination, can fulfill the spiritual needs of those who indulge in these fantasies.
The origins of music are profound, stemming from measurement and rooted in unity. Numbers compose everything in the world, from the genetic sequences in life to the harmonies and intervals in music, and even the elements and constants in the cosmos. All of these can be condensed into the intricate patterns of a microscopic snowflake. Each life, each galaxy, resembles a unique snowflake, shaped by the constraints and influences of their surroundings. Therefore, we represent snowflakes through mathematical functions, using them as a medium connecting the universe and life. Music serves as an external variable influencing the formation of these function-generated snowflakes, creating a synesthetic experience with them.
Ultimately, we have constructed an interactive space, resembling a cosmic telephone booth. When a viewer dials the telephone dial, they initiate a transcendent, space-time conversation with the universe. Those inside the booth find themselves surrounded by the distant stars of the boundless universe, finding solace for their body and mind. Our intention is to connect the subjective universe within the human spirit with the physical universe of the objective world through this artwork, achieving a harmonious balance between technology, art, and life.
